A former Member of Parliament (MP) for Zebilla Constituency in the Upper East Region Mr. Frank Fuseini is still suffering in the hands of his successor who believes he slept on the job as a lawmaker within his four-year reign.
The former Majority Leader Cletus Apul Avoka who described his defeat in 2016 as a mistake, maintained that the former Deputy Upper East Regional Minister lacked the influence and front-bearing in Parliament.
“Politics is influence and nothing else. It is not enough to wear a big smock and go and sit at the back as a backbencher. You need to have influence. if there is any decision to be taken or there are any resources to be distributed, I will be part of the decision-making process and in that case my constituency would not be left out or abandoned”, he bragged.
He however observed that the same cannot be said about his predecessor who only took delight in wearing big smocks and has nothing to show for during is 4-year tenure leaving constituents enraged and disappointed.
“Parliament is not an area for him. If you look at the results of 2020, he did not even get half of my votes. The people were extremely disappointed in him. My coming back was a rescue mission. I had to come and salvage the constituency. He was doing nothing in Parliament. They didn’t even see him on the floor of the house. He didn’t even second a motion one day or correct votes and proceedings,” he stated in an interview on Bolgatanga-based A1 Radio monitored by MyNewsGh.com
