According to the traders, “anytime it rains, this market become flooded and it is affecting business activities in the market”
“Sometimes we have to wait for 2hours before we can open our shops after a heavy downpour. The contractor and KMA have failed to address our grievances” they said.
The Chairman of the Kumasi Petty Traders Association Nana Akwasi Prempeh who spoke to the media also blamed the contractor who constructed the market indicating that he has failed to fix the problem.
He added that the leadership of the traders will meet today around 10am to access the damages caused by the flooding after heavy downpour and thereafter determine the next line of action.
