Walewale: Soldiers on rampage, beat up Timber Merchant and worker

The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of Timber Construction Messers of Bempa Steel Timber Company Limited Mr. Collins Kwabena Baah and his employee worker Jones Addai are currently nursing various body injuries after they were severely brutalized by 6 military personnel at Walewale in the North East Region.

According to MyNewsGh.com’s sources, Mr. Collins Kwabena Baah subordinate Jones Addai went to Walewale Sports Stadium where popular Ghanaian Artist Fancy Gadam organized a Salah Bash program.

An investigation conducted by Kumasi based Pure FM’s Osei Kwadwo revealed that the military stopped and searched Mr Collins Kwabena Baah’s vehicle where they found a licensed pistol in his car.

“Upon their search, they retrieved a pistol in my car which I has been licensed. I gave them all the papers to prove that the pistol has been licensed”, Mr. Collins Kwabena Baah revealed.

According to Mr. Baah “They took me and my worker Jones Addai to the WaleWale Military camp and brutalized us for no reason. All the six (6) military personnel brutalized us till they realized were almost became unconscious”.

“They sent us to the WaleWale Police Command and ordered the police to detain us after brutalizing us”.

“The police realized that we were in critical condition and they gave us medical forms to go to the hospital for medical treatment”, an injured Collins Kwabena Baah revealed.

A source at the WaleWale Police Command disclosed that Mr. Baah’s pistol has been licensed to protect himself due to his work as a timber contractor.

According to the source, “The soldiers brought Mr. Baah and his worker for us to detained them, but we realized that it will be difficult to detain them because of their condition. It will be difficult for us to confirm what happened between Mr. Baah and the military”

Meanwhile the WaleWale Police Command has commenced an investigation into the matter.
