Veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician, Ohemaa Mercy lashed out at Ghanaian women who go under the knife to get hourglass body shapes; a practice which has become a craze among some Ghanaian socialites.
According to Ohemaa Mercy in a discussion with MzGee together with actors Adjetey Anang, Ruth Oti and Cabum on the Gee Spot, such women suffer from inferiority complex hence their need to get people to appreciate them.
Ohemaa Mercy revealed that every person was created perfectly by God and with the right exercise and diet, any desired body shape can be achieved.
“I don’t believe in that because everyone God created is good and I don’t believe in people attaching themselves with something or going to take anything to make you fat. You have to work on yourself to look good,” she said.
“If you believe in yourself and know that God really created you and you are beautiful there is no need to go and enhance yourself to look beautiful”
“Naturally, you look beautiful so what do I do to look nicer? What I really want us to understand is that physically when you are at a particular age, there are some foods the doctors would advise you not to eat”, the Tehillah Experience organizer added as observed by Ghpage.com.
This year’s Tehillah Experience saw spirit-filled performances from Ohemaa Mercy, Joe Mettle, Cecy Twum, Elder Mireku, and many other foreign arts.
