They Are Accusing Me Of Stealing c’s Result For Akufo Addo – Vim Lady Reveals On Live TV

A Journalist with the Despite Media Group, Afia Pokua who is also known as Vim Lady has revealed that some unknown persons have been accusing her of stealing former President John Dramani Mahama’s votes for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo.

Vim lady made these revelations when she appeared on Metro Television’s Good Evening Ghana Political program this Thursday, February 18, 2021.

She told Paul Adom Otchere on the program that the Police are currently investigating the issue. She added that just after the 2020 general election, she started receiving messages from unknown persons who threatened her for announcing the presidential results on television.

Afia Pokua added that her media house collated results from across the country on the Election Day. She adds that as part of her job on Election Day, she declared the provisional collated figures and Nana Akufo Addo won.

She adds that just after the declaration, her mobile phone started receiving messages from unknown sources.

“The police is investigating the matter currently. They brought messages directly to my phone. Some were on social media and so on. The accusations against me were that I have stolen former President John Dramani Mahama’s results for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. Those are the figures I announced as part of my Job on the Election Day. But the police has taken over the issue and investigations are underway”. She told Paul Adom Otchere.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama has since refused to accept the election result declared by the Electoral Commission of Ghana. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo was projected as the provisional winner on various media platforms.

The Electoral Commission announced the certified results and declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as the winner of the election.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama has presented the outcome to the Supreme Court and seeking a rerun of the election.
