Sarah Adwoa Safo Wins NPP Primaries

Provisional results from the Dome Kwabenya Constituency indicates that the Minister of State in charge of Procurement Procurement Sarah Adwoa Safo has retained her seat.

The Dome Kwabenya seat was keenly contested by the incumbent Adwoa Safo and Ghana’s High Commissioner to India Mike Ocquaye Junior. The election in that Constituency was described as a hot-belt considering the tension that emanated from the area.

Reports suggested that Mike Ocquaye Junior distributed Television sets, Cloth and an amount of GHC 3,000 to delegates but that could not win him the seat which he has contested for 2 times. Adwoa Sarfo retained her seat with 499 as against Mike Ocquaye’s 485.
