Yesterday several law students embarked on a peaceful protest demanding a reformation in Ghana’s legal education as over the years there have been mass failures at law schools.
The student march through principal Streets of Accra heading towards the Flagstaff house to register their displeasure to the President.
The police insisted they had no permit to proceed and resisted the protesters who had gathered at Afrikiko, about a 100 meters away from Jubilee House.
The demonstration however turned violent as police officers began shooting at the protesters with rubber bullets. .They also bathed these students with water cannons both hot and cold.
Some students were severely injured by the rubber bullets as they sought shelter in the Canadian Embassy.
