According to them, the president failed to support the player financially when he was searching for money to do a surgery.
In a series of replies written under the president’s message, Ghanaians criticized the first man of the land over Junior Agogo.
The President posted “Saddened by the news of the death of former Black Stars Striker, Junior Agogo.” “He was a fine footballer, and was always proud to represent our nation. My sincere condolences to his family. May his soul rest in perfect peace,” he added. The emotional message sent out by the president however did not go down well with citizens as they expressed their dissatisfaction at the abandonment of Junior Agogo.
@emmanuelna80 criticized the president: “Mr President is that all…@NAkufoAddo where were you when he was ill. That’s Ghanaian for you. By the way may his soul rest well in our Lord Almighty hands.”
@NaaYeye08 advised the president: “Nana, there really has to be a way of honoring those who sacrifice for the country, not only people in Academia but the other fields as well. We don’t always have to wait till they die. This man mentioned that he was suffering from stroke.
@StarDougy claimed Junior Agogo was abandoned: “When he was sick none of you visited him since you known he was proud playing for his country hypocrisy at the highest level.”
