No political party can pay me for an endorsement; I’m too expensive for them – Shatta Wale explains [Video]

Shatta Wale has said he is worth much more than any political party could afford to let him endorse them ahead of the December polls.

This audacious statement from the SM Boss comes in the wake of celebrities putting their faces in front of their preferred political parties ahead of the election of December 7.

In an exclusive interview with Kumasi-based Hello FM, Shatta Wale said although he will be ready to work for any political party should they be able to foot the bill, he still would not like to have his brand dented by associating it with politics.

“Political parties are not my type of thing. They can’t give me what I want in life. I am so expensive for any political party; not in terms of materilsituc stuff but I possess a different spirit.”

If they want to approach me; it’s going to be a very difficult thing. If they want to convince me, to do it they have to come to my terms but it’s not my thing because I have godfathers from all over the palce,” he said.

Explaining what he meant by being expensive, Shatta Wale said he finds it more fulfilling to stand for himself and speak for the voiceless than to agree to sing or endorse a political party.

Meanwhile, the likes of Samini and Sarkodie have publicly endorsed the candidature of President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December polls.
