New twist to Walewale teacher’s murder

Family of the 30-year-old teacher, Gifty Atingawaya are rejecting suggestions the deceased was murdered by armed robbers as claim by the husband and other occupants in the latest twist in events.

They are suspecting some foul play and want the police to properly interrogate the other occupants of the vehicle in order to unravel the truth behind the death of their relation.

According to the brother of the deceased, Elisha Agambire, it is not possible the incident could have been a robbery attack when nothing was taken from the occupants of the Opel Vectra with registration number AS 1668-11 after they were shot at.

It would be recalled that MyNewsGh.com on Sunday broke the story of how Gifty Atingawaya aged 30 was shot dead while returning at Tinguri in  the West Mamprusi District when they were attacked by the suspected criminals at Tinguri

According to what MyNewsGh.com gathered, the vehicle was being driven by the man when the suspected robbers shot into it killing the woman on the spot while two other occupants escaped unhurt.

The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Walewale Government Hospital while police have mounted a search for the criminals.

The Walewale-Nalerigu road is noted for a series of robbery attacks that have claimed several lives.
