NDC is engaging in Violence for Power – Kennedy Agyapong

Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central constituency, Kennedy Agyapong has accused the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) of hatching a plot to cause violence in the country in order to win power in the 2020 polls.

He believes the NDC is not fighting for the interest of Ghanaians but only seeking for their selfish-interest by engaging in acts that undermine the security of the state and will bring about chaos and anarchy in order to ease their way into power.

The NPP firebrand called on Ghanaians to wary of the demonic plots of the opposition and ensure that they do not allow them come close to power as they will live to regret if the dare make such a mistake as the country goes to the polls this year.

Speaking on NET 2 Television monitored by, he said “Ghanaians should wake up. They are not for your interest, they are for their selfish interest. Any means for NDC to come to power whether violence or not they don’t care. All they want is power and when they come, they will destroy the country”

Reacting to the series of demonstrations against the plans by the Electoral Commission to compile the new voters’ register in April 2020, he praised the Chairperson Madam Jean Mensa of seeking to protect the public purse by making some savings.

“What is wrong about the good initiative the woman is doing? I am pleased she is making a lot of savings for the country. The saved amount can build a new hospital or two”, he justified.

He stressed” Jean Mensa, Bossman Asare we support you provided what you are doing is in the interest of the state. Just be careful with your detractors. They don’t have the nation at heart all the want is violence and power”
