There was drama in court characterized by prolonged laughter as General Asiedu Nketiah, the first witness for the Petitioner mounted the podium.
Under cross-examination by the lawyer for the Electoral Commission(EC), General Mosquito as he is affectionately called responded that he wasn’t the petitioner and wondered why the lawyer kept on asking him questions relating to the petition.
Out of shock, the lawyer for the EC appealed to the bench that part of the case should be struck out if that will be his response.
It is equally shocking and unbelievable for the first witness to be making such claims and lives us wondering if the petitioner’s claims will stand the test of time.
The response raises more questions as to whether Asiedu Nketiah should be carrying the burden of the petitioner and whether former President John Mahama Mahama will change his mind and mount the witness box.
Indeed Asiedu Nketiah was, before all this Politics, a stockbroker. And before then, a teacher, then a Palm Wine tapper at Seketia in Jaman North.
