The Ghanaian lady who was accidentally bathed with acid in Saudi Arabia, Memuna Malik, has received support to undergo the first phase of her surgery.
Through the effort of Crime Check Foundation, Memuna has secured GHC 52,000 for the first phase of the surgery that will involve the lifting of her nose and straightening of her eyes.
The second and third phases of the surgery will take place at later dates subject to the availability of funds.
The beautiful young lady had gone to braid her hair at a house in Saudi Arabia (where she was based as a casual worker).
According to Memuna, Salomey (Ghanaian) had intended to throw acid on the hairdresser, Rabi.
She reveals that Salomey mistakenly threw the acid on her deforming her face permanently in the process.
