Mark Okraku Mantey appointed as Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture?

The president of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey is rumored to have been appointed as the new Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

This rumor comes in the wake of discussions surrounding his appointment to the high office after a segment of industry players and Ghanaian musicians kicked against it.

One of these critics is Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale who thinks Mark doesn’t fit to be the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture as he also pleaded on several occasions for them to appoint someone else with a vision and understands the industry just like him to help in its growth.

“We have not forced the government to structure our music industry for us and so when we are there we will be hearing things like they want to take Mark Okraku Mantey as deputy minister for Tourism Arts and Culture.”

“We can’t live in an industry where we are moved by people who don’t even have the knowledge, who don’t know technology, who don’t know things about the music industry.”

Well, a rumor gathered by xorlali.com has it that Mark Okraku Mantey has been given the opportunity to become the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
