Mahama is a hopeless alternative – Razak Opoku jabs

The Founder and President of Concerned Voters Movement (CVM), a socio-political pressure group, Razak Kojo Opoku has descended heavily on former President John Mahama over NDC’s move to solicit for ideas from the general public ahead of election 2020, describing him as a hopeless alternative .

According to Razak Opoku, the move to solicit ideas from Ghanaians to draw their 2020 manifesto is borne of hopelessness of a person who cannot come back to right his wrongs.

The main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is demanding for inputs from organised groups in putting together its manifesto for the 2020 election.

The party has requested groups like Civil Society organisations, Trade Unions, Associations and the general public to send their thoughts of not more than four pages to the Office of the General Secretary through the Deputy General Secretary – (Operations) or emailed to on or before Saturday, 7th December 2019.

The move according to the biggest opposition party is to develop a ‘Peoples Manifesto’ that speaks to the direct needs and concerns of the people.

“The objective to develop a ‘Grassroots Manifesto’ driven by the need to give meaning to our social democratic principles of inclusivity and mass participation in the pursuit of growth and development of our country,” the party added in a statement signed by Peter Boamah Otokunor the Deputy General Secretary—(Operations).

But speaking to, the President of CVM, Razak Kojo Opoku cannor  fathom why the NDC is now inviting the general public to assist them with ideas and policies to draw their 2020 manifesto after wasting their time to govern this country for 27 years.

“NDC has ruled this Nation for solid 27years yet couldn’t identify, know, address and solve the many challenges facing the Public”, he stated.

“They are now inviting the public to assist them with ideas and policies towards the preparation of the Party’s 2020 Manifesto, after wasting the time of the Public for 27years”, he added.

Razak Opoku chastised the former President of the Republic of Ghana and now the presidential candidate for the NDC as a “hopeless” alternative for the party.

He added that a flagbearer without ideas and policies was the story of John Mahama.

“A flagbearer without ideas and policies is the story of John Mahama, 2020 candidate of hopeless alternative NDC”, he told reporter.

He concluded by saying “John Mahama can now be described as “Hopeless-General” and “Empty-General”.
