Maverick member of parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has reacted to a pain call from some Ghanaians abandoned in Lebanon.
A couple of days prior, a video became famous online indicating some Ghanaians – particularly ladies begging the legislature to assist them with returning to Ghana from Lebanon.
The Ghanaians were seen remaining in their numbers at the Ghanaian Embassy in Lebanon saying that they are experiencing difficulty in that nation and need to return home.
As indicated by the abandoned Ghanaians, they were guaranteed they would be emptied by the administration to Ghana yet for certain weeks now, they have not heard anything.
However, in a video, Mr. Agyapong said he had been moved by the situation of Ghanaians and has chosen to give $100,000 to help bring these abandoned individuals back home.
“Look at where Ghanaians have reached. I feel sad for them, therefore, I am going to donate $100,000 to help them get back home,” he said in the video.
