Today marks the 65th anniversary of the grand Rwandan liberation. In commemoration of this day, the president together with other government officials have taken time to inaugurate some projects undertaken by the government in the Nyagatare district of the country.
Among these projects is a model village constructed for the poor and homeless. The facility is made up of a smart classroom, an early childhood development center with the capacity to accommodate 100 pupils, a health center, Agric backyards among others. This will be the permanent home for 64 selected vulnerable families.
July 4th has been designated for the celebration of the Central African country’s liberation during which Paul Kagame led the armed wing of the Rwandan Patriotic Front to defeat the previous Habyarimana regime to end the 1994 genocide that claimed over 1 million lives.
