Popular Ghanaian gospel crooner Joe Mettle has exposed an internet scammer who is using his name to defraud unsuspecting people.
According to Joe Mettle, the person is using a social media handle bearing the name ‘Minister Joe Mettle’ to beg for money from his fans.
The ‘Boo No Ni’ hitmaker shared a screenshot of the fake page indicating that he is not associated to it in any way and that his fans should disregard such handle.
He also attached a self-made video explaining that he is not in any way behind the fake account adding that he doesn’t use the title Minister on any of his social media handles.
Joe Mettle further indicated that if anything at all he will never solicit for funds in such a manner.
“Something just came to our attention about someone using my name falsely and asking people for money, especially online, using Minister Joe Mettle. “
I never use minister on any of my pages. It’s always as Joe Mettle and in most of the cases, the pages are verified.
“If anything at all, I will not ask for support in that manner, asking people in comments, and asking people to donate. “
No please. It is a scam so please be advised. Don’t sen any money to anyone. The last one I saw was like a Nigerian number asking people for money. It’s not true so please don’t fall for it.” Joe Mettle said.
