I would’ve given Muntaka a flying kick if I wasn’t restrained – Karatist Ken Agyapong

Member of Parlament(MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong says he would have beaten his colleague for Asawase in the Ashanti region, Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak if he was not restrained when they clashed in Parliament last year.

There was drama in Parliament between Kennedy Agyapong and Muntaka when the latter dragged the Assin Central MP before the Privileges Committee in 2019 over unparliamentary conduct.

The two legislators before parliamentary proceedings started hurled insults at each other on the floor of the house.

They had to be physically restrained by colleague MPs from attacking and assaulting each other as Kennedy Agyapong threatened to deal with Muntaka Mubarak.

In a video which went viral on social media, the two MPs were seen in heated verbal exchanges in Twi amidst threats.

Kennedy Agyapong vowed to make Muntaka uncomfortable in Ghana.

He used unprintable words on the Asawase MP. He said “Wo ye aboa-ba, gyimi gyimii”.

Muntaka has since apologised to the general public for the clash with the Assin Central Member of Parliament.

But in an interview with Paul Adom Otchere, Kennedy Agyapong said he will engage Muntaka because he’s cheap and that if he was not restrained he would have beaten him to pulp like he used to be people when he was a child.

“Even if you’re bigger than me I will beat you…hell no! I don’t deal with cheap people…he’s not relevant in my life…oh sure I would have given him some flying kicks he will be surprised I kick good.”
