A survivor in the Gomoa Adam accident on the Kasoa-Cape Coast highway in the Central Region said he managed to jump out of the somersaulting vehicle before the collision.
Giving a riveting account of seconds to the accident which claimed six lives and left more than seven injured, Issah Abubakar said it started as a smooth ride.
Not certain of the exact time the collision happened, Abubakar said he boarded the car from Kasoa heading to Cape Coast and upon reaching a section of the road, he saw the Ford Transit making a wrong turn while speeding.
That decision taken by the Ford driver resulted in the collision,” he said on Citi FM monitored by theghanareport.com.
“It collided head-on with our vehicle forcing our vehicle to turn in the opposite direction. I started feeling uneasy and I wasn’t seeing anything so when the car was turning I forcefully managed to jump out of the vehicle,” he explained.
His act of bravery saved his life but six other people were not as fortunate.
