Member of the Council of elders for the New Patriotic Party NPP in the Agona West Constituency has accused the Member of Parliament for Agona West Hon Cynthia Mamle Morrison of allegedly bribing outspoken Member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon Kennedy Agyapong with a whooping sum of 100,000 cedis in a live radio interview monitored by My News Ghana.
The member of the council of elders in the constituency Mr Kwesi Ampofo made this shocking revelation among many others in an exclusive interview with Captain Smart on Adom FM.
According to him, the Member of Parliament who doubles as the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection has on several occasions thrown out all suggestions brought to her by the Party executives in the constituency and relied on her self made council of elders and “advisers”.
“There is no unity in our constituency now. Every action the MP took to unite us was purposed at helping her grab the Ministerial Office she holds today. Right after acquiring the office she neglected every one of us and all decisions we had made with her.
Could you believe that our MP told us point blank that Nana Addo in 2016 said He was not bothered about our constituency because our votes were not needed to secure a win for him?”.
He further revealed that the Member of Parliament has never taken her common fund since she assumed office with plans of using her common fund for the primaries come 2020.
Madam Cynthia says she wants to use her common fund primaries. Look at the issues with have with the school here in Swedru. She can use her common fund but she refused to tell us she isn’t a contractor. The arrogance level of the MP is so much that it is affecting our constituency and the party as well.
“Kwame Duncan knows of this, The MP said she would use her common fund for the Primaries. The MCE is even begging her to go for her common fund but she has refused. I have key evidence to this”
