‘Greedy Bastard’ Mahama, cronies splashing stolen cash – Kennedy Agyapong

Member of Parliament for Assin South, Kennedy Agyapong says the former President of Ghana has money to splash around because, during his tenure, he stole a lot of money from the various projects he undertook in the country.

According to him, various projects undertaken by John Drama Mahama’s administration were overpriced to provide excess profit for the NDC and therefore that’s the reason why John Dramani Mahama has enough money to spare.

“That is why John Mahama is seen around splashing cash. All those monies are stolen monies from overpriced projects. I can tell you that under Mahama, a project which is supposed to cost the country GHC 10 will be priced at GHC 100. So now Mahama has a lot of money to be giving out food and displaying it on social media. Only myopic people give out food and display it on social media,” he said in an interview on Accra-based Happy FM.

Citing an example of the John Dramni Mahama E-Blocks, the maverick lawmaker said his research proved that the ones funded by the World Bank were three times cheaper than the ones funded by the Government of Ghana although it was the same architecture.

“Mahama and his cronies in the NDC are greedy bastards. These people overpriced every project that they did in order to maximize their profits. I had one Chairman coming to me to beg so that his money is paid because he built some of the e-blocks. Do you know that the price of the e-blocks built by World Bank was cheaper? The profit they got from the ones funded by the Government of Ghana was three times that of which was funded by the World Bank although it was the same architecture.”

He noted that the NDC have maintained that government has failed to complete the various hospitals he started but Kennedy Agyapong mentioned that the government has to go through the records and audit the activities of the NDC because considering the records available, their estimates for the projects was inflated.

The Assin Central Member of Parliament asked why the NPP government has failed to prosecute any of the NDC appointees but continues to allege that they were corrupt, Kennedy Agyapong expressed his disappointment in the system. He noted that the legal issues are cumbersome and therefore makes it very difficult to just arrest them because without theneccessary checks, they may be exposed in court and lose cases.

He was optimistic that the NPP will nail the “thieves and Greedy bastards” in the NDC in the coming days so that they pay dearly for robbing the nation.
