Barely a week after Mr Asiamah was sworn-in as Fomena MP in parliament on January 7, constituents have already presented their numerous requests.
“Our roads are not good, even some villages are not having schools, so now that our MP is a speaker, we are praying that he can serve the community,” a resident said.
According to the constituents, although it is an honour to have their representative be a part of the presiding officers in parliament, the constituency requires immediate attention.
Speaking to JoyNews Monday, some residents said: “We are more than happy because we were not expecting such a position will be given to him.
“No Fomena MP has ever been a Deputy Minister more so a 2nd Deputy Minister of Parliament, therefore we are very happy.”
Upon winning the seat for Fomena, Mr. Asaimah thanked Fomena constituent for their immense support and pledged to come through on his promise of making Fomena community as stated earlier during his quest of becoming MP
