Female Teacher Who Went Missing Found Dead In Volta Lake

A female teacher who mysteriously went missing in the Atebubu-Amantin Municipality has been found dead.

The lifeless body of Benedicta Gyane Afofie was discovered in the Volta Lake in Yeji in the Pru East District.

The deceased, a former student of University of Development Studies (UDS), Wa campus, was a teacher at Amantin Roman Catholic Junior High School.

According to Daniel Takyi, a journalist with Yeji based Alive FM, her lifeless body was retrieved by divers two days after she allegedly drowned in the lake.

She has since been buried. The 26-years-old Benedicta Gyane Afofie disappeared mysteriously from her home on Thursday, April 2, 2020.
