Former Member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Stephen Atubiga has responded to the former President of Ghana John Dramani Mahama who claimed the people of Ghana endorsed him massively but God did not give him power.
“The former President says you have shown him, love, by endorsing him overwhelmingly. You gave him your mandate but God didn’t give him the power. And he says I should tell you that God doesn’t make mistakes. He may have very good reasons why God didn’t give him the power,” former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Alhaji Limuna Mohammed-Muniru, said in a speech read on behalf of the former President.
But reacting to this, Atubiga asked John Dramani Mahama not to throw dust into the eyes of the people of Ghana who massively endorsed him.
Atubiga believes that although the people of Ghana gave victory to John Dramani Mahama, Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and persons who were given responsibilities to play in the 2020 elections handed the power to Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
Atubiga who spoke in a post shared on his social media said “Be brave to tell your supporters and voters the facts about your defeat. Voters gave you the victory votes, and your executives denied you victory. Not EC”.
