Leader of the Economic Fighters’ League, Ernesto Yeboah has been granted a GHC 100,000 bail with 3 sureties after pleading not guilty to the charges of breaching the Public Order Act leveled against him by the Police.
Ernesto was arraigned before Accra Circuit Court 10 on Thursday June 11, 2020 after being arrested by police for allegedly organizing a Black Lives Matter vigil without the knowledge of the Police.
Lawyer for the accused, in court today pleaded that his client was not guilty of the charges but Chief Inspector Haligah Emmanuel charged him with failure to notify the police of a special event under section 1 of the Public Order Act of 1994.
The court presided over by Her Ladyship Evelyn Asamoah granted him bail in the sum of GHC 100,000 with 3 sureties, two of whom should be public servant.
