The Public gallery of parliament been shut down until further notice.
This is part of measures put in place by the House to deal with the possible spread of the global plague, covid-19.
The 1st Deputy Speaker of parliament, Joseph Osei Owusu told Kasapa 102.5 Fm that the House is tackling the dreaded covid-19 pandemic frontally within the precinct of the legislature and has joined forces with the state in the national fight.
“All basics like sanitizers, soap and water, among others have been placed at vantage points for use, besides shutting down the gallery,” he told host Kweku Owusu Adjei on Anowa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 Fm.
The House is however, yet to receive the document for emergency legislation from the executive to enforce measures announced by the President last Sunday.
