COVID-19: Check out the test results of Nurses who attended to Obour’s father out

The Greater Accra Regional Hospital says its eleven staff who were quarantined and tested for COVID-19 after they came into contact with Obour’s father have tested negative.

The facility formerly known as Ridge hospital quarantined 11 staff including 7 Nurses, 3 Doctors and an IT person after they came into contact with father of Obour who died of the deadly Coronavirus.

The quarantine became necessary because according to the management of the hospital, Obour and his family members hid the travel history and the fact that their father had tested for the deadly virus from them and therefore he was treated as just an emergency case.

Obour became a subject of ridicule on social media for “putting the lives of these hospital staff at risk and being selfish” after the management made it known to the public what had transpired at the facility.

Obour denied claims that he did not make known his father’s travel history and the fact that he had tested for the virus insisting that it was a ploy to denigrate his personality.

A statement from the hospital copied to MyNewsGh.com says the eleven staff who were quarantined and tested for the virus tested negative and have since been discharged.

The management of the hospital used the opportunity to remind staff of the facility to adhere strictly to the various protocols stipulated by the WHO to keep them safe as they fight in containing the disease.
