Controller And Accountant General Department Issues An Important Notice To All Government Workers On Payment Of 2021 Salaries

It was quite unfortunate that there were a series of publications last month that put the public sector staff afraid of potential hitches at the Department of the Controller and Accountant-General that may affect the payment of workers’ wages in due time. This is a challenge for many employees who awaited their wages before the CAGD’s timely press release that settled down workers.
In view of that, we would like to remind public sector employees of the very notification provided to public sector employees by the CAGD from January, which has not made any public adjustment to that date as at present.
The controller declared in a statement that:
Notice is provided that the wages and salaries of civil servants, the Ghana Education Service (GES) and all other public servants employed by the Department of the Controller and Accountant-General for the year 2020 will be paid on the following dates:
Months. Pay Day
January. 22nd
February. 25th
March. 26th
April. 24th
May. 27th
June. 26th
July. 24th
August. 26th
September. 25th
October. 26th
November. 25th
December. 18th
The statement also noted that “The various Banks will start crediting the accounts of employees from the dates indicated above. Any change in the above dates will be communicated to the Ministries, Department, Agencies, Assemblies and respective banks
