Central Region records 3,198 cases of teenage pregnancy in 5 months

The Central Region of Ghana has recorded 3,198 cases of teenage pregnancy in the year 2020.

The region has recorded 3,198 teenage pregnancies from January 2020 to May 2020 according to the Ghana Health Service.

According to data available to the Ghana Health Service, teachers, farmers, and drivers continue to be the group of men impregnating the teens.

A Nutrition Officer at the Ekumfi District Health Directorate, Madam Lydia Acquah disclosed this at an event organized by the National Youth Agency.

Madam Lydia Acquah called for pragmatic measures to curb this menace.
