Castro’s mother opened silence on Asamoah Gyan

The mother Ghanaian musician Theophilus Tagoe, popularly known as Castro who went missing some years ago, has cleared the air following the speculations that she was poor and dejected.

In an interview on Onua FM, Castro’s mother said the supposition made by Dr Maurice Ampaw to the effect that she was now dejected and poor following her son’s disappearance, were false and should be disregarded.

She continued on to say that she did not know Dr Ampaw and had never set her eyes on him in person before.

In course of the interview, Castro’s mother disclosed, she wanted to set the records straight on reports that Asamoah Gyan was financially supporting her.

As said by the woman, she had not received any money from Mr Gyan nor had the footballer purchased her any car to be working for her.

The mother of the artiste further stressed that ever since her son’s disappeared years ago, she had not set eyes on Mr Gyan or Baffour Gyan who claimed to be good friends to Castro.

On how she has been feeding, Castro’s mother indicated she has a strong and supportive family members who give her handouts once a while, therefore, she was not poor and dejected as was alleged.

Earlier, there were reports in the media space that Dr Ampaw alleged that he had been in touch with Castro’s mother and that she was now dejected and found it extremely difficult to get money to feed herself.

In an interview on Accra-based Onua FM, Dr Ampaw said: “I can tell you she doesn’t have money for food.”
