Captain Smart Angrily Sends Another Strong Message To GTV Over The Election Petition Telecasting

Today saw another hearing on the election petition filed to the supreme court by the leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama. Before the proceedings today the lead counsel for the petition put across the board that the supreme court should allow Jean Mensa to be cross-examined and the second respondent witness should also mount the witness box.

The argument over EC and the second respondent was hanged until today. According to 7 panels of Judges who sat on the case the application filed by Mahama insisting EC should be cross-examine was boycotted. The case has been adjourned to 18th February 2021 for further hearing.

After the hearing, the most influential journalist in Ghana Captain Smart speaking on the Angel Broadcasting Network Show has sent another strong message to GTV who telecast the election petition hearing.

According to Captain Smart, they also have quality cameras which they can use to take live coverage from the courtroom. He added if the opportunity is been given to Ghana Television Station (GTV) doesn’t mean they can do whatever they like. They should respect the viewers and manage the cameras well than going on and off during the coverage.
