‘We ‘re looking at TikTok, we ‘re talking of making a decision,’ Trump said to reporters outside the White House on Wednesday.
- Secretary of the Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, said the proposal is under review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States.
- The Committee of Analysis deals with possible national security threats from international acquirers.
Mnuchin said he was going to make a suggestion to Trump about how to treat TikTok next week.

Wednesday, President Trump said that the US is considering banning the TikTok social media software in fear of China using it to spy on Americans.
‘We ‘re looking at TikTok, we ‘re thinking about making a decision,’ he said to reporters in the South Lawn before leaving the White House for a day trip to Texas.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin alongside Trump reported that, TikTok, has been reviewed on agreements with foreign acquirers for possible national safety threats, have been investigated by the United States Foreign Investment Commission.
