Reports coming from Adeiso in the Upper West Akyem District of the Eastern Region indicates that two persons are battling for their lives after they were shot by some six suspected land guards
Narrating the incident to Onua FM, Samuel Atsu Forson whose land concession these suspected land guards stormed, said on Tuesday afternoon, the gun-wielding thugs intruded on various land winning sites in the District and started intimidating and extorting monies from them.
“They forcibly retrieved an amount of GH¢900,000 from my accountant on site and when two of my workers questioned why they took the amount, the suspected land guards shot them in the legs,” he said.
Mr. Atsu Forson explained that the suspect at this point bolted but due to the vigilance of the people and the Adeiso police, three were arrested while the remaining three bolted with the amount.
He revealed that Adeiso District Police Command told him the other three bolted with GH¢900,000 stolen from the site.
He alleged that the police carried a search in the vehicles and guns and ammunition were found.
The two injured persons are currently receiving treatment at the Koforidua Government Hospital.
