My News Ghana reported an incident of a bomb explosion on Monday, 9th August 2020 at Labadi.
In the reportage, we stated that three (3) children were injured as the result of the explosion.
The Ghana Police Service (GPS) in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Greater Accra Regional Command, ASP Effia Tenge, said the number of children involved in the incident was four (4) contrary to earlier reports.
The Police Service advised parents to be very vigilant in controlling the movement of their children.
The statement further advised parents not to leave children without a parental guide as they are now at home due to COVID-19.

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED:
Reports say that the four (4) children went to the beach to win sand and found the “bombs” buried in the ground.
Not knowing what it was they took the “bombs” to play with them and unfortunately caused its explosion.
The children involved, have all sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently receiving treatment.
A combined force of police and military personnel visited the site where the said grenades were found to and have retrieved other grenades.
The Ghana Police Service has not said anything publicly about the purported incident.
