Apam Disaster: Our gods warned us – Queenmother reveals

Queenmother of Apam, Nana Essel Botchwey III, has revealed that the lesser gods in Apam, through the chief priest, revealed the disaster to the Traditional Council.

Nana Essel Botchwey III noted that on Thursday 4th March 2021, the lesser gods in Apam revealed to the Chief Priest that a pastor had built a Church at a place meant for the gods of Apam.

According to  Nana Essel Botchwey III, the gods added that a calamity would befall Apam should the traditional council fail to destroy the building.

Speaking to host of Atinka FM’s AM Drive, Kaakyire Ofori Ayim, Queen mother of Apam, Nana Essel Botchwey III, stated that the incident happened two days after the caution from the gods.

She added that the Apam Traditional Council is yet to meet with the Pastor who has built the Church at the place meant for the gods.

“We have since poured libation to the gods and we will bury the kids tomorrow, 16th March 2021. Plans are also far advanced to meet with the pastor who has built in the way of the god of Apam”, she explained.

Over Twenty unidentified children believed to be between the ages of 13-17 drowned in the sea at Apam, in the Central Region, on Sunday 7th March 2021.

Confirming the news to the media, the District Police Commander, DSP Moses Osakono, stated that said eight bodies had been retrieved from the sea as on Monday 8th March 2021.

“We were able to retrieve six bodies in the morning. We are collaborating with the DCE. My investigator is also there. So very soon, we will mobilize the bodies to see how many we have lost,” DSP Osakono told the media.
