The ban on public beaches in Accra has been lifted following public outcry.
Greater Accra Minister, Hon Henry Quartey who earlier announced the ban has made a u-turn to lift the ban.
According to a press statement released by the Minister, the beaches are now open to the public after a meeting held by the Greater Accra Regional Security Council, REGSEC.
The press statement states that the Ghana Health Service will Mount vaccination centers at the beaches to vaccinate people who are are yet to take the vaccine.
Beach operators across the Greater Accra Region are expected to ensure strict compliance to COVID-19 protocol.

People in Ghana’s capital city can now go to the beach for leisure in this festive season.
