Abeiku Santana reveals a secret about the death of Nana Agyei Sikapah

News of Nana Agyei Sikapah’s unfortunate passing devastated his colleagues at Despite Media who took to social media with many messages of sorrow.


Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey Santana, popularly known as Abeiku Santana, is a celebrated and multiple awards winning Ghanaian broadcast journalist currently with Okay Fm as the station’s Drive Time host.

After the sad demise of one of their workers, Kwadwo Wiafe Annor recently Nana Adjei Sikapa also kicked the bucket just yesterday.

Nana Adjei Sikapa joined the Despite Group in 2003 as a newscaster upon the invitation of CEO, Osei Kwame Despite.

Nana Adjei Sikapa passed away on Friday, June 19, 2020.

He died at the Ridge Hospital after a short illness.

Nana Adjei Sikapa died at age 55.

A simple background about him revealed that due to his rich cultural exploits and love for poems, Nana Agyei Sikapah started with YENA Krokron through which he had an invitation to be on Garden Citi Radio in Kumasi as a guest, Nana Agyei Sikapah got privileged to host varieties of shows with the biggest at the time being the morning show host which he excelled to the toast of his listeners.


Talking about the death of Nana Adjei Sikapa, Abeiku Santana revealed he had been suffering from some illnesses but got healed and as only rushed to the hospital on Saturday when his condition worsened.

A tweet by his workplace read;

“It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved Nana Agyei Sikapa of Peace FM.

He passed away this afternoon after a long and difficult illness.

Nana Agyei Sikapa was the host of ‘Wogyedie ne sen’, ‘Wo bu be aa’, and ‘Tete’ on Peace FM. #DamirifaDue#UTVGhana#DespiteMedia
